SPAX PERFORMANCE WARRANTY, SHIPPING & RETURNS

SHIPPING

All goods are dispatched from our warehouse located in Bicester. We use a combination of FedEx and DPD to facilitate deliveries to customers. All goods dispatched from the Spax Factory wil require a signature on delivery to confirm receipt. Customers can request to use their own carrier, please select “Carriage Cust Account”, we charge £5.41 to complete packaging and paperwork if you select this delivery method.

MANUFACTURING & SHIPPING LEAD TIMES

Spax do not hold a large inventory of dampers on the shelf. We build to order and hold significant stock of parts to ensure we can usually manufacture your requirements in one week. All production is carried out at our Bicester factory and we can advise cutomers regarding specific lead times at the time of order, indeed all Spax order acknowledgements will be emailed directly to customers and they include anticipated manufacturing availability data.

For goods shipped within Great Britain customers can expect delivery to be one day following dispatch, to Northern Ireland and the EU, deliveries wil take two to three days, on average. Please do check at the time of order to confirm goods are in stock.

WARRANTY & RETURNS

All Spax products are covered with a two-year warranty and returns are processed through your original dealer or by emailing info@spaxperformance.com or by calling 01869 244771 for a Spax Returns Number.

Please note that it is a condition of warranty that a copy of our Customer Returns Form is completed and is sent with any goods to be repaired, and when sending shock absorbers all assemblies must be stripped so that just Spax parts are returned to us. DO NOT RETURN ANY GOODS TO SPAX WITHOUT FIRST OBTAINING A RETURNS NOTE NUMBER.

Please read the information below – All returns MUST be packaged with a completed and signed Customer returns Form to ensure you don’t pay additional handling charges.

NON WARRANTY RETURNS

  • Please complete the Customer Returns Form which will be sent to you by Spax Customer Services – email info@spaxperformance.com;
  • All parts should be dismantled from assemblies before being returned for inspection. We will not strip parts from hubs, remove pre-loaded springs, un-bolt top mounts etc
  • We will quote for rebuilds / service and repairs, giving a best estimate of workshop time required, once the parts have been returned and inspected by our technical team
  • All returned goods must be carriage paid;
  • If you are claiming a credit for incorrectly specified parts then these must arrive in as new condition, complete, with all components that left the factory, in original packaging, within 7 days from date of dispatch / invoice to qualify for a credit. For the avoidance of doubt, as we cannot resell used equipment Spax will not credit any items which have been fitted to a car;
  • Incorrectly ordered goods may be subject to a testing / repackaging / handling charge of up to 25%;. Special Order, Competition or Motorsport products, as listed in the relevant section of our catalogue, are not returnable for credit.

WARRANTY RETURNS

All returns must be accompanied by the completed Customer Returns Form (including information to confirm proof of purchase – either invoice / delivery note / approx date of purchase and dealer name) and you must advise your Name / Address / Contact Phone Number. We need to know the make and model of the car to which the Spax Components have been fitted. If the goods were purchased through a Dealer or Agent of Spax then the returns number should be obtained through your reseller.

  • All parts should be dismantled from assemblies before being returned for inspection. We will not strip parts from hubs, remove pre-loaded springs, un-bolt top mounts etc
  • The warranty shall only apply to matters notified in writing to SPAX within two years of sale to the first end user (in the case of a retail sale) and warranty terms are not transferable to subsequent owners;
  • If, following inspection, a manufacturing defect is discovered then SPAX reserve the right to replace the Goods, or repair the Goods free of charge, or refund to the Original Purchaser the price of the Goods (or a proportionate part of the price), at SPAX’s sole discretion, but SPAX shall have no further liability to the Customer;
  • For the avoidance of doubt, in accordance with our terms and conditions of sale, SPAX will not accept liability with regards to payment of any labour, shipping or handling costs, fitting, installation, removal or other ancillary charges related to the Goods, or in respect of any manufacturing defect or fault arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, abnormal operating conditions, track or competition use, failure to follow instructions (whether oral or in writing), misuse or alteration or repair of the Goods without SPAX’s approval or failure to fit the Goods correctly;
  • Unless specified otherwise on the Customer Returns Form, all products not returned to the Customer shall be disposed of 2 weeks after receipt. Should SPAX determine returned goods require repair or replacement we will ship these back to customers carriage paid, if customers require the defective goods to be returned then these parts will be shipped at their cost.
